Mutlu Yildirim Köse has been with Gün + Partners since 2006 and a partner since 2017. Mutlu is both a lawyer and trademark and patent attorney specializing in intellectual property practice. Her IP practice focuses on trademarks, designs and copyrights. She has been involved in numerous projects on all fields of IP. Her involvement includes both contentious and non-contentious matters in relation to trademarks, copyrights, designs, patents, domain names and unfair competition. She has an extensive litigation experience, counselled various domestic and foreign clients regarding their IP strategies, legal disputes, licensing and settlement agreements.

Özlem Er eceived her BID and MSc degrees from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, and her PhD from the Institute of Advanced Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, the UK. Having taught at METU from 1996 to 2000 and Istanbul Technical University (ITU), she is currently full professor at the Department of Industrial Design, Istanbul Bilgi University. She initiated design management teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels in Turkey and supervised numerous master’s and PhD studies exploring different aspects of design and business as well as other issues in the field of design. As the head of the Industrial Designers’ Society of Turkey Istanbul Branch, she took part in the organization of two editions of Design Turkey Industrial Design Awards, 2012 and 2014.

Sebnem Timur was born in Ankara in 1974. She graduated from the Department of Industrial Design at METU in 1994 and received her degrees of MFA  (1996) and Ph.D. (2001) from Bilkent University, Department of Graphic Design. She has worked as a research assistant at METU in the Department of Industrial Design, and has conducted a post-doctoral study as an Honorary Research Fellow at University College London in the Department of Anthropology, Material Culture (2002-2003). She is currently teaching at Istanbul Technical University, Department of Industrial Design; her research interests mainly concentrate on  design and particularly objects as cultural phenomena at the intersection point of semiotics, material culture and visual culture studies.
