Herrick partner and chair of the firm's Nordic PracticeDeborah Koplovitz, was featured in  IsraelDesk's February 2022 magazine.

In a column titled "Jurisdiction in the Spotlight," the discussion turned to how Israel and the Nordics are natural business partners. When discussing this partnership, Deborah explained, "We believe there are numerous opportunities for Nordic and Israeli partnership, not just because the UN's SDGs favor partnerships, but because these countries all share reliance upon and familiarity with quasi-Governmental organizations such as Innovation Norway, Innovation Fund Denmark, and Vinnova in Sweden, whose aims are all to foster innovation and provide funding for their domestic companies."

Deborah forecasted more business collaboration between Israel and the Nordic countries, saying, "We see tremendous potential in the Fintech sector, as Israel has raised USD 2.3 billion in H1 2021 alone, and Sweden, for example, which aims to be completely cash-free by 2023, also produced a leading international fintech company, Klarna."

On the hot topic of sustainability, Deborah added, "Already a world leader in the EV market, Norway also has interesting companies such as Morrow Batteries, which is positioning itself as an international leader in sustainable and affordable battery technology."

Additionally, Deborah's article, "In an American Bankruptcy Proceeding, Everything Old Can Be New Again" is featured in the magazine's "Recent Market Trends" section and can be read in full.
