This is the second of our two-part panel discussion focusing on employment law issues faced by South Africa's retail sector.

In part two, we explored a number of hot topics, such as employment equity in the workplace, the move to online retail (with greater reliance on call centres, warehousing and distribution), outsourcing (considering implications such as the possibility of falling within the jurisdiction of a different bargaining council), the move to part-time workers (risks and implications), the need to change terms and conditions of employment, and restructuring.
