On January 22, 2014, the Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") issued a press release announcing that DEP and the Environmental Quality Board extended the public comment period and number of public hearings on the proposed regulations of oil and gas surface activities. The public comment period is extended from February 12, 2014 until March 14, 2014. There will be two additional public hearings on February 10, 2014 and February 12, 2014.
