Infrastructure and Government 16 June 2000

Richard Paterson, 50, has been appointed as the UK Head of KPMG’s Infrastructure and Government (I&G) line of business, based at One Canada Square, Canary Wharf. His role includes the sales activities of some 400 KPMG I&G partners and staff throughout the country.

Richard, who was made a partner in 1986, has world-wide experience working for KPMG in the UK, France, Germany, the USA and Latin America. He has considerable expertise in the building and construction, property, transport and business services sectors, and to a lesser extent, experience in the public sector.

He commented: "I am very pleased to undertake this new national role, with international links, and taking responsibility for the driving of I&G’s business. These are particularly exciting times in the public sector with the current political landscape, London transport issues and additional funding becoming available for health and education, and our business is surging forwards. What’s more, there is still tons to go for."
