We have received reports that the "DORADO", a 2013 built bulk carrier flying the Marshall Islands flag, has grounded in the Parana river.
It is carrying a cargo of 40,000MT Maize loaded in San Lorenzo and was bound for Algeria.
The vessel requires professional assistance and T&T salvage are assisting. At present, the vessel remains grounded.
It is also very likely that General Average will be declared.
So far as any recovery is concerned, we have identified the vessel's P&I Club, which is headquartered in London.
