Country's biggest software organization TCS has agreed to
settle a suit filed by two former employees asserting infringement
of the rights of its non-US citizen employees in the US,
accordingly for $30 million. Highlighting that the US Court has
recovered no wrongful conduct by the company, TCS said it
"believes that it always acted fittingly nevertheless the
allegement in this case."
However, it did not bring out details of the agreement. "The
company has admitted no wrongful conduct and none has been
recovered by the court. It agreed to put this matter to eliminate
any on-going distraction to its associates and management," a
TCS representative said.
The legal proceeding was filed in 2006 by two of TCS' old
employees, Gopi Vedachalam and Kangana Beri. The lawsuit supposed
