When did you join Deloitte and what is your role?
I'm Erika Leggat and I joined Deloitte as a BrightStart at the Glasgow office in September 2017. I work in Restructuring Services within Financial Advisory where we provide assistance and guidance to businesses that are underperforming or facing financial difficulties.
From your POV, what are the top 3 reasons for joining the apprenticeship?
- Learning: The BrightStart programme allows me to have a hands on approach to learning which is something I felt University could not offer me.
- Earning: I get to earn whilst I learn and work towards a professional qualification - with paid study leave.
- Support: The BrightStart programme ensures that I am completely supported in every way throughout my studies and development.
In one paragraph, how would you describe your apprenticeship journey?
So far, my BrightStart journey has been very exciting. From the very outset I have been involved in interesting projects and have learned so much in such a short period of time. Not only have I began to build business relationships but also have built friendships with amazing people across other departments and offices.
