Serhiy Verlanov, who has been a partner at Sayenko Kharenko for over three years, has been appointed Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

This appointment is recognition of Serhiy's outstanding professionalism, valuable experience, leadership, talent and commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Mr Verlanov has extensive experience in the fields of taxation and tax litigation and significant expertise advising on public sector projects. These attributes helped make him particularly competitive during the candidate selection process.

In line with his appointment, which is effective as of 26 July 2018, Serhiy Verlanov has resigned from the partnership at Sayenko Kharenko.

Partner Vladimir Sayenko comments: "Since joining the firm in 2015, Serhiy managed to build one of the strongest tax practices in the market. He has invested in the team's professional growth and personal development, which gives us confidence that our tax practice will continue to develop under the supervision of counsel Vitaliy Odzhykovskyy. We are grateful to Serhiy for all his work and dedication, and have no doubt that his appointment is good news for Ukraine."
