Jerome H. Powell was officially sworn in as Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System ("FRB").

Mr. Powell was nominated for the position by President Donald J. Trump on November 2, 2017, and confirmed by the full Senate on January 23, 2018. Former Chair Janet Yellen's term expired on February 3, 2018.

Mr. Powell has been an FRB Governor since 2012, and served as Assistant Secretary and Undersecretary of the Treasury under President George H.W. Bush.
