The International Advertising Association is hosting a webinar, "Global Advertising Law & Policy Issues," on January 28, 2021, at 9 a.m. ET.  (That's 2:00 p.m. in London, 6:00 p.m. in Dubai, and 7:30 p.m. in Mumbai.)  The webinar is an "IAA Fireside Chat" with Stacy Feuer, the Assistant Director for International Consumer Protection at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

During the Fireside Chat, I'll be talking with Stacy Feuer about the FTC's international consumer protection efforts, about some of the key issues affecting marketers globally, and about how government and industry can best collaborate to create a regulatory environment that both protects consumers and allows brands to thrive.  She's an authority on these issues, since she leads a team responsible for the FTC's enforcement cooperation with foreign consumer protection and data privacy agencies -- and she also represents the FTC in international policy organizations such as the OECD, APEC, and UNCTAD on a wide range of advertising, marketing, and privacy and other issues involving new and emerging technologies.

This Fireside Chat is the first of four planned for the year with representatives from government and industry self-regulation from around the world.  (The next one, scheduled for April 22nd, is with Catherine Bate, the Chief Legal & Policy Officer for Ad Standards Canada.)
