Following his on-going prolific LinkedIn campaign, Partner and co-head of our Media department, Simon Goldberg featured on Sky News this morning, discussing with TV news anchor Kay Burley the on-going impact of the Post Office Scandal and what can be done to try and speed matters up to get justice for the Sub-Postmasters.
This is the second mainstream TV appearance Simon has made this year, having earlier featuring on Nine News Australia, to discuss Australian captain and Chelsea WFC player, Sam Kerr, who had been accused of racially aggravated harassment of a police officer in London.
Speaking about his primetime appearance this morning Simon said: "It is very important to keep the scandal in the public domain because that in itself puts more pressure on politicians, civil servants, PO management and Fujitsu with a view to trying to convince them to pay meaningful compensation to the many hundreds of victims and to do it soon, rather than waiting for the results of the Horizon IT Inquiry which is still a very long way off. The effect of yet more delay is that compensation, when it comes, is probably going to be too late for a number of those more elderly and unwell sub-postmasters and their families".
