Despite its immaturity in the Australian market, the New Engineering and Construction Contract (NEC) suite of contracts has been used around the globe for many years. The new NEC4 suite is becoming increasingly relevant in the Australian and Asia Pacific construction market, as project owners look for alternatives to existing, outdated standard form contracts.

To assist the Australian market to come to terms with the NEC4 suite, DLA Piper will be delivering training sessions to clients and other industry participants, over coming months. Training will be delivered in Australia, by our international lawyers that have worked with NEC for years.

As global law firm, with lawyers in more than 40 countries across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, DLA Piper has a wealth of experience in relation to the NEC suite, as well as a deep understanding of the Australian construction market.
