João Paulo Servera, 35, and Daniel Engel, 38, joined Veirano on 9 September. Their move takes place only a year after Servera joined Cascione Pulino from Felsberg Advogados and almost two years since Engel did the same. Both told Latin Lawyer they were thrilled with the opportunity to work at Veirano and were keen to make the most of the firm's multidisciplinary capabilities. Veirano – which recently boosted its agribusiness and fintech practices with hires – now counts 75 partners and 183 associates.

Pedro Garcia, who heads Veirano's infrastructure team, welcomes the new additions. He says the firm has been working hard to consolidate its infrastructure practice, which includes sector-focused legal services like mining, oil and gas and electricity. "We are confident there is a lot of space for growth in the coming years," adds Garcia, who is widely considered to be a lynchpin in Brazil's mining industry.
