Butler Snow attorney Melody McAnally has been elected a Fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation. Each year, the foundation extends invitations to membership to 1% of Memphis area attorneys and judges. Melody was inducted at a ceremony with other Fellows on April 25, 2024.

The mission of the Memphis Bar Foundation is to promote philanthropy among members, advocate and support public awareness of the legal system, promote social justice and encourage legal education.
Melody is a member of Butler Snow’s commercial litigation group and focuses her practice on data privacy and security. She is a Team Leader of the firm’s Data Security and Privacy team, and advises clients on data security protection, data breach response and cyber-risk management. McAnally is an editor of and contributor to Butler Snow’s commercial litigation blog, BizLitNews Blog. She is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation, as well as Mid-South Super Lawyers® and Mid-South Rising Stars® in business litigation. The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel named McAnally a top-rated lawyer in commercial litigation.
McAnally is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Chair-Elect of the ABA TIPS Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Committee, Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation, and member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Memphis Bar Association, Association of Women Attorneys and Mississippi Bar Association. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mississippi College, where she was Editor-in-Chief of Law Review.
