Schoenherr achieved an important milestone for ImWind, as the EIA permit for the Loidesthal II wind farm in Zistersdorf (Lower Austria) is now legally binding. The Schoenherr team provided legal advice to ImWind during the EIA procedure and the approval process.

This means that the construction of 11 wind turbines with a total capacity of around 73MW can now begin. Operation is planned for the end of 2025. ImWind, one of the largest producers of renewable energy in Austria, is responsible for the construction of the wind farm, which will supply more than 43,000 households with clean green electricity every year.

"We are delighted to be able to support ImWind with the Loidesthal II wind farm and take another important step for the expansion of wind power and the energy transition," said attorney at law Christoph Jirak, who has already achieved success in EIA approval procedures for numerous similar projects.

"Thanks to the expertise of Christian Schmelz and his team, we can now celebrate the completion of the EIA process for our Loidesthal II wind farm," said Clemens Bärenthaler, Head of the Legal Department at ImWind. "We would like to thank them for their professional support."

The Schoenherr team advising ImWind on all aspects of environmental law consists of Christian Schmelz (partner), Christoph Jirak (attorney at law), Benjamin Schlatter (attorney at law) and Sarah Wolf (attorney at law).
