In the lead-up to Dive In 2023, we're meeting the speakers and organisers who are making the global DE&I festival happen.

Office manager Lucero Diaz has been serving as Co-Country Leader for Peru at this year's Dive In festival. Along with Noriko Hasegawa, she has been helping to organise two of the DE&I-focused events which runs from 26-28 September this year.

Lucero, what are your events all about?

Age of Equality, on 27 September, is an open conversation on how to improve gender equality and age diversity both in the workplace and in your everyday life. On 28 September, Navigating Mental Health in a Hybrid Work Environment is about effective communication strategies to approach the mental health conversation at work.

I hope that, little by little, we can begin to discuss issues about mental health or equality in a more open way in the work environment.

Lucero Diaz, Office Manager

What does the chance to organise events on these topics mean to you?

For me it is something new to participate in the organization of an event like this. However, it means learning a lot for me, since I am very interested in opening the conversation necessary to generate positive change in my company.

What's the main thing you'd like people to take from the event?

That little by little we can begin to discuss issues about mental health or equality in a more open way in the work environment.
