The Inside Scoop: What is Government Thinking about Infrastructure?

Infrastructure has been one of the hottest areas of Canadian public policy-making in recent years. From generational public transit and healthcare projects to energy transition initiatives, and from new roads and rails that open access to Canada's mineral wealth to government action on housing affordability – infrastructure has increasingly become a critical part of the national political conversation. Accordingly, infrastructure developers, constructors, financiers and operators, and Canadians across the country, increasingly find themselves asking: what is government thinking about infrastructure?

To consider this question, McCarthy Tétrault has convened a panel of government relations professionals and McCarthy Tétrault partners, each of whom work in the infrastructure space. We will discuss recent developments in government infrastructure plans, as well as legal matters relevant to infrastructure market participants and their ability to respond to government infrastructure policies. We are pleased to invite you to join us for this panel discussion.
