Our sixth webinar of the year is titled: The Evolving Role of Experts in Environmental Compliance and Litigation. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm via Zoom.

Environmental experts wear many different hats, including assisting with environmental compliance, responding to regulators and enforcement action, and acting as a trial expert in civil litigation.

Understanding the different hats an expert wears and how an expert's role may change throughout the lifecycle of an environmental matter is an important part of working with experts, and by extension, managing environmental liability.

Using an environmental case study, Richard Butler, Raeya Jackiw, and Bianca Salive will explore the different roles experts may play, how an expert's obligations change, and other key considerations for working with experts, including: working under legal privilege, staying objective or being an advocate, and the importance of an expert's relationship with regulators.
