Foreign Travelers who wish to visit Nigeria for the purpose of Meeting, Conference, Seminar, Contract Negotiation, Marketing, Sales, Purchase distribution of Nigerian Goods, Trade Fairs, Job Interviews, Training of Nigerians (Humanitarian Services), Emergency/Relief work, Crew members, Staff of NGOs, Staff of INGOs, Researchers, Musical Concert can apply for a VOA. It is valid for 30days and can be extended in country and cannot be used to work.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION

Application for a VOA is strictly an online process. The applicant is to visit the Nigerian Immigration Service website, click on visa on arrival and apply here. All required information should be provided and the following documents are to be uploaded:

1. Invitation letter (from the Nigerian company to the applicant);

2. Introduction letter (from the applicant to the Comptroller General of the Immigration Service);

3. Flight itinerary;

4. Recent clear passport photograph

5. Copy of passport Data-page; and

6. Certificate of incorporation of the company.

After this, the applicant is to proceed to make payment. Once payment is successful, an approval slip will be forwarded to the applicant. This approval slip is only valid for 14 days, after which the applicant will not be able to use it to enter into Nigeria.

This process usually requires two to three clear working days from application to obtain the approval.

At the point of try, the foreigner will be required to present the approval slip, evidence of online payment, two recent passport sized photographs and valid Passport with minimum of six months validity at the port of entry.
