The Trade and Business Licensing Board will hold its last meeting of the year on Tuesday, 6 December and will resume its meetings on Tuesday, 10 January 2017, according to Board Chairman Garth Arch.

Persons seeking renewals and grants of their trade and business licences before the end of the year have until Wednesday, 30 November, to submit their applications to the board via the Department of Commerce and Investment (DCI). As of Thursday, 1 December, applications received by DCI will not be processed until January.

However, throughout December DCI staff will continue accepting grant and renewal applications, and collecting all associated payments. Applications can be submitted at the Business Licensing Counter, on the first floor of the Government Administration Building from 9am to 4pm Mondays to Fridays. Trade and business licensing forms and general information are available at www.dci.gov.ky.

For Christmas, DCI's Grand Cayman office, including the Business Licensing Counter, will close at noon Friday, 23 December, and reopen at 9am Wednesday, 28 December. On New Year's Eve, the office and the counter will close at noon Friday, 30 December and reopen at 9am Tuesday, 3 January 2017.

DCI's Cayman Brac office will close as of Monday, 12 December and will re-open at 9am Tuesday, 3 January 2017.
