Davis LLP's Graham Erion and Andrew Lord have published an article on Ontario's energy future in the August 22, 2014 issue of The Lawyers Weekly.

"Green Light for Renewable Energy" looks at why the Liberals' victory in June's provincial election was welcome news to Ontario's renewable electricity sector, defining "three key themes [that] will define the Ontario electricity market during the Liberals' majority term": stability through the continuation of the feed-in tariff program and the careful development of the new large renewable procurement program; differentiation with respect to procurement ; and commitment towards "subsidizing innovation in the province - to the tune of $250 million over the next three years." The positive outlook also includes new opportunities in energy-related work for lawyers assisting clients in this sector.
