On Sept. 27, 2018, Vectorworks, Inc. announced that it had opened a new corporate office in Vancouver, British Columbia. To facilitate this new office, Vectorworks acquired Resolve Software Solutions and the assets of Paxar Technologies Corp., both long-time distributors of Vectorworks software.
Vectorworks is a global design and BIM software solutions provider serving professionals in the architecture, landscape and entertainment industries. Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, with offices in Atlanta, Georgia, Newbury and London, England and now Vancouver, Canada, Vectorworks is a part of the Nemetschek Group.
Gowling WLG was Canadain counsel to Vectorworks in these acquisitions with a team that included Peter Fairey (corporate), Bettina Burgess and Max Brunette (employment) and Paul Carenza (tax), assisted by student at law Kean Silverthorn.
