On October 18, the Ministry of the Environment published Ordinance No. 394/2018 setting forth the purpose, competence and work plan of the Guidance Committee for Implementation of the Take-Back Systems ("Guidance Committee").

The main competences of the Guidance Committee are:

  • Create a schedule to implement the take-back systems;
  • Approve the technical and economic viability studies;
  • Evaluate if it is necessary to review the take back agreements already signed, regulations and settlements that rule the take-back system in a national level.

The Guidance Committee will be assisted by a Technical Group ("GTA"), which might create Working Groups ("GTT") to analyze, study and submit proposals on specific subjects.

Veirano's environmental team is highly specialized on take-back laws and is available to

provide clarifications.
