Boca Raton-based elder law attorney Cassandra Jelincic was honored yesterday evening at an awards ceremony celebrating top young professionals in South Florida's business scene. The South Florida Business and Wealth Up & Comer Awards, held in person at the Hilton South Florida Beach Resort on Oct. 6, honored professionals in law, accounting, banking, insurance, communications, and other industries. Jelincic, of counsel in the firm's Elder Law practice, received the Up & Comer award for Law - Palm Beach.

Jelincic, who recently joined Cozen O'Connor with the merging of the firm Elder Law Associates PA, made the following remarks after receiving her award. "It's exciting and humbling to be selected as an honoree for SFBW's 2021 Up & Comer Awards, along with the other distinguished honorees. I'm very thankful to be recognized for my work in elder law, fiduciary litigation, and special needs law, as it is a passion of mine. I am honored by all my clients who entrust me and my firm to help them navigate through life changes. I am grateful to my firm, Cozen O'Connor, formerly Elder Law Associates, for providing me with the tools and experience to grow in my career and address our clients' complex legal needs."

Jelincic focuses her practice in the areas of elder and special needs law and litigation, including guardianship and fiduciary litigation. She has extensive experience with the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts and advance directives, Medicaid and disability planning, and asset preservation.

Cozen O'Connor recently strengthened its Private Client, Trusts and Estates Practice in South Florida with the addition of six attorneys and expanded its domestic footprint with the opening of a new office in Boca Raton, Florida.
