GVZH is proud to have advised Epic Communications Limited on the Maltese tax and corporate aspects of the sale of 100% of its passive telecommunications infrastructure to Phoenix Tower International (PTI), established an operator of high quality wireless infrastructure sites around the world.
The deal, which was reached in March 2021 and finalised in July 2021, is expected to create a long-term partnership between Epic and M.T. Mediterranean Towers Limited, PTI's fully owned mobile telecom infrastructure management company in Malta. In addition to the sale of 815 towers and masts in both Cyprus and Malta, M.T. Mediterranean Towers is expected to acquire newly constructed towers over six years through a build-to-suit programme for its local subsidiaries operating under the Epic brand.
