The award is given by the Société de la francophonie manitobaine to individuals who have made a significant contribution to Francophones in Manitoba.
Marc was awarded the Riel prize in the "Communications" category for his volunteer work over the past 10 years as the President and a Director of Presse-Ouest Ltée, which publishes the French newspaper La Liberté.
