The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has released its Upload File Specifications for the 2017 and 2018 EEO-1 Component 2 reports. Given the number of data items required in the Component 2 reporting, the EEOC has designed a narrower file layout with the goal of making it easier for filers to create upload files. Employers will still have the option to enter data manually into an online form.

Ogletree Deakins' Affirmative Action and OFCCP Compliance Practice Group will report on any further developments with regard to employers' reporting requirements on the firm's Affirmative Action/OFCCP blog. For a detailed discussion of employers' EEO-1 reporting requirements, join us for a complimentary one-hour webinar, "Navigating The EEO-1 Pay Data Requirements," on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern. Our speakers, Columbia Of Counsel Kiosha H. Dickey and Birmingham shareholder James A. Patton, Jr., will explain employers' obligations with regard to submitting pay data information to the EEOC.
