Ice Miller attorney Sid Bose will present "Building Secure
– Understanding the Legal Issues in the Internet of
Things" at the Custom Electronic Design & Installation
Association (CEDIA) Expo 2017 on Sept. 8 in San Diego.
The CEDIA Expo is one of the largest Internet of Things (IoT) trade
shows of its kind, bringing together more than 18,000 technology
professionals and 500 exhibitors. CEDIA says it is the only show
dedicated completely to residential technology. This year's
theme is "Exponential," boasting exponential chances for
learning, innovation and connection. Learn more about this
year's conference here. CEDIA 2017 takes place in San Diego from
Sept. 5-9.
Sid will be speaking with Frank White from 10-11 a.m. on Sept. 8 in
Room 30D. With new advances in IoT technology, home cameras can be
hacked, baby monitors can be taken over and homes can be
"taken offline" completely. This session will focus on
how companies and manufacturers can address liability and legal
issues pertaining to IoT home devices. Learn more about Sid's
training session and register here.
In addition to offering 150 training classes, CEDIA also hosts
hundreds of exhibitors, debuts new products and offers several
breakout sessions and networking opportunities.
