Navigating the AI Legal Landscape

Carole is a managing partner at INQ Law and global leader in artificial intelligence (AI). She practices in privacy, cyber readiness, data governance and AI risk management, with a focus on ethical AI and responsible innovation. A seasoned former litigator and data co-lead for a national firm, Carole has been involved In multiple data governance committees for the federal government, national sector committees, the Global Partnership on AI, and acts as acting as advisor to several AI companies. Carole is co-editor of a newly released Thomson Reuters book, Leading Legal Disruption: Artificial Intelligence and a Toolkit for Lawyers and the Law. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law where she teaches on AI law and policy.

Michael is a Consultant at INQ Consulting focused on AI and Data Governance. He has provided advisory services on data strategy, data ethics, and AI and data governance across Canada’s public sector, financial services, and insurance sectors. Prior to joining INQ Consulting, Michael was at Deloitte Canada where he helped grow Deloitte Canada’s Trustworthy AI Offering and supported clients in maturing their AI governance capabilities, adhere to emerging global AI regulations, and stand up their data ethics communities of practice. During his time at Deloitte, Michael focused on leading and delivering projects in the areas of AI and Data Governance, Data Strategy, Operating Models, and Organizational Design. 

Focusing her practice on the intersection of law and technology, Myriah Jaworski advises clients on enterprise-wide data privacy and cybersecurity governance, incident response, data breach and class action defense, and related government investigations. Myriah works with clients to implement new technologies, including AI/ML and automated decision-making tools, and to evaluate privacy and security requirements in Web3 and the metaverse.
