On October 29, the Regulatory and Personal Data Control Unit
(Unidad Reguladora y de Control de Datos Personales) announced the authorization of new guidelines
on data protection issues (source document in Spanish). The
guidelines provide recommendations for protecting personal data in
three areas: (i) use of online cookies; (ii) implementation of
Bring Your Own Device policies; and (iii) operation of drones.
