It was announced on 9 November 2020 that the Real Living Wage (RLW) will increase due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

RLW will increase by 10p to £10.85 for London and by 20p to £9.50 for the rest of the UK.

The RLW is a recommended UK wage rate which is paid voluntarily by employers and over 700 additional employers have signed up to it since the first lockdown in March.

Please note that RLW is different to the statutory National Living Wage (currently £8.72) which is the minimum wage payable to people over the age of 25.
