Coleman Greig's team has banded together to raise awareness and funds for men's health. Participating in Movember for a fifth consecutive year, the firm raised a total of $9,041.

The leading charity changing the face of men's health, Movember, has funded over 1,250 men's health projects globally. Established in 2003, Movember exists to fight the concerning statistics and tackle some of the most complex health issues facing men today – mental health, suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Throughout the month of November, Coleman Greig joined teams across the world to talk, move and raise fund for men's health.

Coleman Greig's 'Mo Bros' – a team of staff committed themselves to growing 'staches for the cause. Staff were also encouraged to move 60kms throughout the month of November – one kilometre for each of the 60 men lost to suicide every hour across the world. Their efforts resulted in $5,641!

Adam West, Principal/Director and Movember Team Captain, said Movember was an important initiative to support.

"Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are 'toughing it out', keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence.

"Movember doesn't just raise funds for research and programs to improve men's health. It raises awareness of some of the significant and complex health challenges that men around the world are facing."

Coleman Greig's top fundraiser, Rory Muscat, said;

"I am a proud supporter of Movember and have been actively involved in the cause for nearly two decades. As men, we can often find it difficult to discuss our health problems, especially around the topic of mental health. The "she will be right" vernacular is all too common. Movember through its research and involvement in the community dispels this attitude and encourages men to talk about their health concerns."

The firm's Women in Business lunch with Sophie Delezio also raised funds for Movember. Held on 23 November in Parramatta, the lunch was attended by more than 100 businesswomen and men.

Movember Ambassador, Mark Kelly, spoke about the importance of the cause, encouraging attendees to reach out to the men in their lives and check in on their mental health. Attendees gained valuable insights into the health difficulties experienced by men, digging deep to raise $3,400.

Having raised $3,000 more than 2022, Coleman Greig looks forward to continuing to build on its Movember efforts in coming years.
