June 8, 2023 – Grupo Aeroméxico's chapter 11 restructuring– a deal in which the firm advised Delta Air Lines in its capacity as strategic partner and equity investor – won Airline Restructuring Deal of the Year at the 2022 Airfinance Journal Awards. The deal closed in March 2022.
In March, the same deal won The M&A Advisor's Restructuring of the Year Award.
Katie Coleman led the Delta team for HHR, overseeing all bankruptcy, corporate and litigation strategy, along with Jeff Margolin. Chris Gartman was the lead litigator, including defending Delta at all depositions. Steven Greene and Scott Naturman advised on the numerous deal agreements needed to consummate the reorganization transactions. Carl Mills, Elizabeth Beitler and Talia Helfrick assisted on all bankruptcy and litigation matters.
The Airfinance Journal Awards recognize the year's most innovative transactions in aviation finance. The awards were presented on June 8 in London.
