The Romanian customs officials have recently seized a considerable quantity of goods suspected of being counterfeit, bearing the labels of well-known brands, worth approximately EUR 438,000 (USD 607,944).

The Romanian customs officials have recently seized a considerable quantity of goods suspected of being counterfeit, bearing the labels of well-known brands, worth approximately EUR 438,000 (USD 607,944).

On September 6, 2010, the customs officials in the cities Craiova and Bechet, southern Romania, seized 4,292 pairs of sneakers bearing the mark of Converse, worth EUR 215,000 (USD 298,420). The goods were discovered in a truck traveling from Greece to Holland.

On October 1, 2010, the customs officials in the same two cities seized 1,000 PlayStation 3 consoles, bearing the mark Sony, worth approximately EUR 223,000 (USD 309,524). The products were discovered in a truck traveling from Bulgaria to Belgium.
