  • Do both parties agree to a settlement?

 

  • Are both parties present? Or at least one is ready to attend personally and the other one is ready to appoint a lawyer?

 

  • Are the issues of custody addressed accurately?

 

  • Is the custody agreed between the parties indefinite, if not has a time been specified?

 

  • Are the financial obligations of the husband clear, concise and linked to the husband’s income?

 

  • Are there any travel restrictions applied on the kids?

 

  • Does the wife agree to this as a financial settlement and that she may not demand any further financial assistance from the husband besides what is being agreed to in the settlement agreement?

 

  • Are the husband’s financial obligations clearly stated?

 

  • Do the parties agree that this agreement shall be binding under the laws of the UAE and any breach shall be considered a breach of contract?

 

  • Has the settlement agreement been stamped by the court and made part of the judgments?
